"We will not drive fully autonomously"
When it comes to driving, humans are far superior to artificial intelligence, says AI professor Ralf Otte from Ulm University of Applied Sciences. In this episode, he explains to the "AI dummies" Raimund Brichta and Etienne Bell why AI will never bring cars to fully autonomous driving in the next 50 years. It is simply the wrong method, says Otte. Although "neuromorphic systems" could offer a way out, the professor believes that the time is far from ripe for them.

Despite the advancements in artificial intelligence, Autonomous driving will not fully replace human drivers within the next 50 years, as stated by AI professor Ralf Otte. This is because current AI systems, including neuromorphic systems, are not yet advanced enough to achieve fully autonomous driving.
