Watzke announces talks on his future for 2024
Hans-Joachim Watzke has announced talks about his own future at Borussia Dortmund for early 2024. He will sit down with BVB President Reinhold Lunow in January, the 64-year-old said on Monday at the Annual General Meeting of shareholders in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle. The contracts of Watzke as Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund GmbH und Co. KGaA and his colleagues Thomas Treß (Finance) and Carsten Cramer (Marketing) expire in 2025.
Watzke's discussions with Lunow in January 2024 might involve the future of Borussia Dortmund's finance department, led by Thomas Treß, in the Bundesliga. The performance of Borussia Dortmund, particularly in soccer matches, will undoubtedly be a topic of interest during these talks.
