In the city of Wilhelmshaven, all residents have been supplied with drinking water again since Thursday. The utility company GEW Wilhelmshaven announced that repair work on a pipeline has been completed. Household water-saving measures are no longer necessary.

Damage to water pipes on Tuesday caused a drop in pressure throughout the city and a complete loss of water supply in some areas. More than 45,000 households were affected in the afternoon, with temperatures reaching a high of 35°C, according to the city of Wilhelmshaven. Repairs were made to the initial damages shortly after.

The initial damage to the water pipes necessitated immediate repair work. With the completion of the repair work, there's no need for continued water-saving measures in Wilhelmshaven.
