In Wartburgkreis, a 28-year-old drunk and belligerent driver without a license was caught by the police. The officers encountered the young man shortly after midnight in Bad Salzungen and conducted an alcohol test. According to the police, the test result was 2.16 promille. A drug test for Cannabis also came back positive, it was stated.

The man was then taken to a clinic for a blood draw, it was reported. The police are investigating.
