Following the find of a woman's lifeless body in Althornbach, Southwest Palatinate, the District Court of Zweibrücken issued a warrant for the arrest of her husband. The 57-year-old is suspected of committing manslaughter, as confirmed by the Palatine city's Prosecutor's Office. He's yet to speak up on the matter and is currently receiving care in a medical facility.
On August 27, his wounded self was discovered within a residential building, alongside his deceased 51-year-old wife. The postmortem examination revealed multiple stab wounds accrued by her. As per investigations, there's no solid indication of any outside party's involvement. The incident's particulars were initially vague.
Althornbach is situated in the southern vicinity of Zweibrücken, near the French border. It falls under the Verbandsgemeinde Zweibrücken-Land and houses a modest population of around 700 people.
