Collective bargaining - Warning strikes: rail companies stick to their timetables

The trains of Erixx, Enno and Metronom are to run largely normally during the announced warning strike at the railroad company on Thursday and Friday. The companies of the Netinera Group are not affected by the work stoppages, according to announcements from the providers. However, the possibility of train cancellations or delays due to possible warning strikes at the Deutsche Bahn signal boxes cannot be ruled out.

The German Train Drivers' Union (GDL) has called on its members to go on another warning strike at Deutsche Bahn. From Thursday evening, 10 p.m., until Friday evening, 10 p.m., passengers will once again have to prepare for thousands of train cancellations in nationwide rail traffic. Among other things, the union wants to emphasize its demand for a reduction in working hours for shift workers.

Deutsche Bahn hopes to be able to maintain around 20 percent of long-distance services from this Thursday evening. The Westfalenbahn, which runs from Braunschweig via Hanover and Osnabrück to Rheine in North Rhine-Westphalia, among other places, announced on Thursday that it was unclear which routes could be operated.
