Warning for football world champion Boateng in assault proceedings

The warning consists of 40 installments, each of 5000 Euro. The court remained below the demand of the prosecution, which had demanded a fine of 1.12 million Euro. Boateng's defense at most demanded a moderate fine for negligent bodily harm or the dismissal of the case with a fine.

The trial revolved around the accusation of Boateng's attack on his former partner, the mother of his 13-year-old twins, during a Caribbean vacation six years ago. It was the third retrial of the case. The presiding judge spoke of Boateng's toxic relationship with his former partner.
