Traffic - Warning beacons hurled onto highway: 19 cars damaged
Driving over warning beacons damaged 19 cars on the highway 7 near Kassel. This resulted in total damage of more than 50,000 euros, as the police announced on Thursday. The accidents occurred on Wednesday evening near the Lohfeldener Rüssel truck stop. According to the police, nobody was injured.
According to initial findings, a 64-year-old man is said to have driven into a roadworks barrier, causing several warning beacons to be thrown onto the road. As a result, his car and the 18 vehicles following it were damaged by driving over the beacons and beacon bases. Three cars reportedly had to be towed away. It was not until around midnight that the road was cleared and the roadworks safety barriers were put back in place.
