Fires - Warehouse fire in Offenbach causes millions in damage

According to initial estimates, the fire in a warehouse in Offenbach on Monday caused property damage of around one million euros. The cause of the fire is still unclear, a police spokesperson told the German Press Agency. No one was injured. The hall, in which scrap metal was stored, was completely engulfed in flames and was to be burnt down in a controlled manner. According to the spokeswoman, the extinguishing work is likely to continue into the night. Residents were asked to keep doors and windows closed by radio warning.
