War in Gaza Strip enters tenth month - Israel continues attacks
The Nuseirat refugee camp was bombed again. On Saturday, according to unverifiable reports from Hamas, 16 people were killed in an attack on a school where thousands of refugees were housed. AFP journalists saw several children being taken to a hospital.
On October 7, Islamic fighters from Hamas and other militant Palestinian groups carried out a unprecedented attack on Israel, which triggered the war in the Gaza Strip. According to Israeli reports, 1195 people were brutally killed and 251 others were taken hostage in the Gaza Strip.
In response to the attack, Israel has been militarily active in the Gaza Strip since then. According to the health ministry controlled by Hamas, which cannot be independently verified, 38,100 people have been killed so far.
The negotiations for a ceasefire will continue in the coming week. Israel announced on Friday that it would send another delegation to Doha. Before that, a high-ranking US official had announced that a new Hamas proposal would advance the process and could be the basis for the conclusion of the agreement, even though "significant work" still needed to be done.

The Red Crescent was mobilized on Sunday to aid victims in the Nuseirat refugee camp, following the bombing. Hamas accused Israel of carrying out the attack on a school, which reportedly resulted in numerous casualties, including children. The ongoing war in the Gaza Strip has claimed the lives of many more children, with over 38,000 reported deaths, according to Hamas's health ministry. Despite these attacks, negotiations for a ceasefire are set to resume, with Israel planning to send another delegation to Doha. The United States has expressed hope that a new Hamas proposal could advance the ceasefire process, although significant work still needs to be done.
