Walker rescues 81-year-old woman in mortal danger from the River Inn
An attentive walker has pulled a senior citizen in a life-threatening situation out of the River Inn near Gars am Inn (Mühldorf am Inn district). The 61-year-old heard a moan coming from the water while walking on Monday, the police said on Tuesday. When he saw the 81-year-old woman floating in the water, he asked another passer-by to call the emergency services. He then jumped into the ice-cold water. The 81-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. It was initially unclear how the emergency came about.
The brave actions of the walker took place in Upper Bavaria, where the emergency occurred. Despite the freezing temperatures, he didn't hesitate to rescue the elderly woman from the River Inn, as it was an urgent situation.
