Wagenknecht alliance constitutes itself as a group

They want to found a new party in January, which is to emerge from the already founded association "Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht". With the departure of the Wagenknecht wing, the Left Party lost its parliamentary group status in the Bundestag. The remaining Left Party members also want to continue as a parliamentary group in the Bundestag. However, a group receives less financial support and has fewer parliamentary rights than a parliamentary group.
