Upcoming European voting - Voting ends: Tallying initiates

By 2 PM, voter turnout in the Free State was comparable to that of five years ago. The Statistical State Office reported that 31.4% of eligible voters had cast their ballots so far. In 2019, that figure stood at 31.9% at the same time, not accounting for absentee votes. Interestingly, in three major cities of Saxony, voter turnout was much higher compared to 2019.

Voting began at 8 AM, with about 3.3 million people in Saxony being invited to cast their votes for the European Parliament and local councils.
