Voters are able to participate in European and local elections.

On Sunday, residents in the south-west region have a double voting opportunity: Both local and European elections are scheduled to take place concurrently, allowing them to cast their votes for two different roles.

Millions of people living in Baden-Württemberg will have the chance to cast their vote for the local and European elections on Sunday. In total, there are around 8.6 million eligible voters throughout Germany for the municipal, district, and local council elections. For the regional assembly in Stuttgart, residents can also make a decision on its composition.

The European elections involve 7.8 million German citizens who are eligible to vote. Additionally, around 830,000 citizens from other European Union countries can choose whether they want to vote in Germany or in their home country.

The municipal election stands out due to its complexity as voters may have numerous votes and can distribute them among numerous candidates and lists.

Due to the complex nature of the municipal election, it may take a few days for the final results to be revealed. In larger cities across the state, vote counting will commence on Monday. In comparison, a tentative final result for the European election is predicted in the evening hours.
