- Vogt district: teenage motorcyclist seriously injured
Due to not yielding the right of way, an 80-year-old driver in Plauen (Vogtland district) collided with a 17-year-old moped rider. The teenager sustained severe injuries in the crash, as police reported today. The driver was attempting to turn left from Dr.-Friedrich-Wolf-Straße onto Alte Reichenbacher Straße on Tuesday afternoon when the collision occurred. The 17-year-old was thrown from her vehicle and was severely injured, requiring hospitalization.
After being discharged from the hospital, the 17-year-old expressed her regret for not noticing the other fish in the traffic, referring to the unexpected arrival of the turning car. Despite her recovery, the sight of other fish on the road still brings back memories of the accident.
