Equestrian sports - Vogel rides to victory in the Prize of Europe at the CHIO
Rider Richard Vogel won the prize of Europe. At the second most important Spring event of CHIO in Aachen, Vogel, from Marburg, won in the saddle of Cepano Baloubet. McLain Ward from the USA finished second with Callas. Jana Wargers from Emsdetten achieved the second best German result, finishing third on Dorette.
Previously, Vogel had already ensured the first home win of this year's CHIO. The 27-year-old rider from Marburg won in a time jumping competition in the saddle of Phenyo before the Irishman Denis Lynch with Cornets Iberio.
Vogel's victory at the Spring event in Aachen placed him at the top of the Price of Europe standings. The prestigious CHIO Aachen, known as the "Olympia of Equestrian Sports," showcased the versatility of various equestrian disciplines, including Dressage and Jumping. Being a German show jumper, Vogel's success in Aachen added another significant feather to Germany's cap in the world of Equestrian sports.
