Vienna Philharmonic performs at Berlin's Waldbühne for the first time
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world's leading orchestras, is discovering the Berlin Waldbühne for itself. Under the direction of Riccardo Muti, the musicians are planning a concert for the first time on May 9, 2024 at this very special venue with steep spectator stands and a magnificent natural backdrop behind the stage.
Under the title "A European Night", the orchestra will perform selected works by European composers to mark the European Year 2024. According to information from Tuesday, the program includes the overture to Giuseppe Verdi's "La Forza del Destino", the suite from Manuel de Falla's ballet "The Tricorn" and Emmanuel Chabrier's rhapsody "España".
