The Frankfurt Police are investigating an incident involving violent stewards during the EM-Quarterfinal match between Portugal and Slovenia, as depicted in video recordings. An investigation has been initiated based on the suspicion of bodily harm, the police confirmed in a statement to Hessian Broadcasting.

In the video footage, several stewards appear to assault a man in an area near the field during the game. Another person is seen lying on the ground.

As of yet, there is no information available regarding the man's health condition, the police stated. The European Football Union UEFA was informed of the incident on Wednesday. The Portuguese newspaper "Record" published the video at X, which apparently was taken from the fan block.
