VfL Bochum and Letsch continue to walk together
Bundesliga soccer club VfL Bochum and coach Thomas Letsch have agreed to work together for a longer period of time. The club announced on Thursday that it had extended its contract with the head coach until June 30, 2026. Letsch has been working at Castroper Straße since September 2022 and led the club to 14th place last season. "Continuity in development is favored by continuity in the key positions. Thomas Letsch took over our team in an extremely difficult situation and led it to relegation. Thomas got to know and appreciate the Bochum community and earned their respect through his successful work," said Bochum's Managing Director of Sport Patrick Fabian.
"It is and remains a privilege for me to be able to coach VfL Bochum in the future. This is exactly the right place for me - in the city of Bochum, with VfL and its wonderful people," said Letsch. Cohesion and honest hard work characterize VfL, said the head coach. "That will also be the basis for our big goal of staying in the league in the future," said the Bochum coach.
VfL Bochum's successful soccer journey in the Bundesliga under coach Thomas Letsch continues, as they aim to maintain their place in the league. In the upcoming seasons, Letsch will continue to lead VfL Bochum, having extended his contract until 2026.
