FC Bayern Munchen have loaned defensive player Frans Kraetzig to VfB Stuttgart. The 21-year-old is expected to gain experience in the Bundesliga and Champions League with VfB in the upcoming season, according to the club's announcement on Friday morning.

"VfB Stuttgart offers him now the best opportunities to take the next step and establish himself further in professional football," said Bayern's sporting director, Christoph Freund.

The winger only received a professional contract from Munchen in the last summer. For the German record champions, he has appeared in seven competitive matches so far. Most recently, he was on loan to Austrian first division side Austria Wien for about half a year.

"He brings in our opinion the footballing skills and the corresponding mentality to make the permanent leap to Bundesliga player," said Stuttgart's sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth.
