- VfB Stuttgart has committed national player Undav firmly

Football national striker Deniz Undav joins VfB Stuttgart. After lengthy negotiations, the runners-up finally reached an agreement with English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, from whom Undav was loaned last season. The 28-year-old has signed a contract with VfB until June 30, 2027, as announced by the Swabian Bundesliga club. The transfer fee was not disclosed by the Swabians. According to media reports, it is up to 30 million euros.

Undav shone last season as a perfect strike partner of Serhou Guirassy, who has since moved to Borussia Dortmund, with 28 scoring points. With his performances, he recommended himself for an EURO nomination and played one game at the home tournament.

"New Dimension"

"After lengthy and challenging negotiations, we have now created a contractual basis to plan long-term with Deniz. Economically, this transfer takes us to a new dimension, but we are investing in quality that has already proven itself," said VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.

The Stuttgart had exercised the purchase option in the loan contract. However, Brighton had secured a buy-back clause and also made it effective. Subsequently, free negotiations took place. Undav himself had repeatedly expressed his desire to continue playing for the Stuttgart.

VfB Stuttgart's acquisition of Deniz Undav from Brighton & Hove Albion adds significant strength to their Football league squad. With this move, VfB is aiming to build a formidable team within the Swabian Bundesliga league.
