VfB Stuttgart extends contract with goalkeeper Bredlow
Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart has extended the contract with goalkeeper Fabian Bredlow, which was due to expire at the end of the season, by two years. The new contract runs until June 30, 2026, the third-placed team announced on Friday. Bredlow joined VfB in the summer of 2019 from 1. FC Nürnberg, for whom he has played 35 competitive matches to date.
However, the 28-year-old has not yet been able to establish himself as a regular goalkeeper on a permanent basis, and this season he is number two behind Alexander Nübel, who is on loan from FC Bayern Munich. Stuttgart play at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (18:30/Sky).
VfB Stuttgart, currently in third place in the Bundesliga, has a talented goalkeeper in their squad named Fabian Bredlow. Despite joining the club in 2019, Bredlow has yet to secure a regular spot, often playing second fiddle to loan goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.
