VfB coach Hoeneß: Continued full confidence in national team
VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß believes in a successful 2024 European Championship at home despite the German national soccer team's poor performances in recent games. "Of course I've seen the games," said the Bundesliga club's coach on Thursday about the DFB team's defeats in the tests against Turkey (2:3) and in Austria (0:2). "I hope and continue to believe that we will play a good role next summer. That's why there's one thing I'm certainly not going to do now: make any suggestions for improvement."
It is not an easy task for national coach Julian Nagelsmann and his team, Hoeneß said. "That's why it's all the more important to get together, analyze things well, be honest with each other and draw the right conclusions. I have full confidence in that." What the DFB squad does not need now is "even more people who know how to do things better", explained the coach of the current third-placed team in the Bundesliga, who visit Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (18:30/Sky).
Hoeneß, the coach of VfB Stuttgart, has expressed his continued support for the German national team's participation in the 2024 European Championship, despite their recent setbacks. His Bundesliga team, currently third-placed, visits Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend. Despite Germany's poor form in recent matches against Turkey and Austria, Hoeneß believes that the national team can still contribute positively to the EM, emphasizing the importance of team unity and analysis for improvement.
