Footballer Lukas Petkov changes teams from FC Augsburg to SV Elversberg. The 23-year-old most recently was on loan at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and will continue in the 2. Bundesliga with his move to Saarland. He signed a three-year deal with Elversberg, lasting until 2027 - neither team revealed the specifics of the transfer, such as the fee involved.

"I'm eager to seize this chance and advance in my career with a long-term perspective," expressed the German-Bulgarian in a statement.

Petkov had been a part of Augsburg's youth system and made his professional debut during the spring of 2021. He appeared in the Bundesliga eight times for Augsburg. During the 2021/22 season, he was loaned to SC Verl, and from February 2023, until recently, he was with Fürth.

Lukas Petkov's decision to join SV Elversberg means he will now be representing a team in a different region of Germany. His new club, located in the Saarland state, will provide him with an exciting opportunity to further his football career.
