Tariffs - Verdi: No local transport in Schwerin due to warning strike
Due to a Verdi warning strike in local public transport, buses and streetcars have not been running in Schwerin since Saturday morning. According to the union, around 60 striking employees of Nahverkehr Schwerin GmbH have gathered at the depot. No streetcars or buses have been running in Schwerin since the start of operations at 3.30 a.m., reports Verdi's chief negotiator Christian Manke: "We have one hundred percent support for the strike."
All streetcars and buses in Schwerin are to remain at a standstill until 4.00 a.m. on Monday. The next warning strike in Schwerin is planned for December 9-12. Local public transport will also be on strike here. The warning strikes are triggered by Verdi's current negotiations with Nahverkehr Schwerin GmbH. No agreement was reached in the third round of negotiations either.
