As per police records, a 78-year-old attempted to transition off the A3 freeway onto a local highway at the Aicha vorm Wald intersection on a Saturday, not noticing an oncoming vehicle with the right of way. The two automobiles collided, causing both to roll into the ditch. The authorities roughly calculated the overall damages to be around 35,000 euros.
