Culture - Usedom Music Festival dedicated to neighboring Poland in 2024
Next year, the nationally renowned Usedom Music Festival will focus on nearby Poland. The festival organizers announced on Thursday that the focus will be on the neighbouring country from 22 September to 12 October. They announced, for example, the internationally renowned Polish pianist Rafal Blechacz and the Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński. The Baltic Sea Philharmonic, which was founded by the Usedom Music Festival, will also perform again in the historic setting of the Peenemünde power plant under the direction of Kristjan Järvi.
The Usedom Music Festival is dedicated to the music of one Baltic country in particular every year.
The music festival will also host the Arts Festival Summit 2024 in mid-May, a "summit meeting of the European cultural scene". More than 200 participants from the festival industry in Europe and beyond will gather at the Historisch-Technisches Museum Peenemünde. Topics will include inclusion, sustainability and networking.
