US Supreme Court grants Trump partial immunity from prosecution

With his decision, the Supreme Court referred the case back to a lower instance for examination. This instance will now have to determine the scope of an indictment against Trump regarding his interventions after his 2020 electoral loss, whether it refers to official or non-official actions.

Trump described the Supreme Court's decision as a "great victory for the Constitution and democracy." The decision made with six against three judge's votes means that the court proceedings regarding Trump's efforts to overturn his 2020 electoral loss against the current President Joe Biden will be further delayed.

  2. The top US court's decision, which favored Trump by a narrow 6-3 majority, has significantly delayed the prosecution proceedings against him for his actions following his 2020 electoral loss in the USA.
  3. In the aftermath of his US court decision, Trump claimed a "great victory" for the Constitution and democracy, implying that his immunity from prosecution following his election defeat will continue.
  4. Regardless of the Supreme Court's decision, if elected in the upcoming USA Presidential election, Trump will still face the prospect of potential prosecution for his actions following his 2020 electoral loss to President Joe Biden.
  5. The Trump-Biden election rivalry will continue in the upcoming US Presidential election, yet the outcome may be directly linked to the eventual outcome of the court proceedings related to Trump's actions following his 2020 electoral loss.
