US President Biden announces further Patriot system for Ukraine
"We are working on further pledges this year," said the joint statement by President Biden, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) of Germany, and the Prime Ministers of Romania, the Netherlands, and Italy. "Our message to Moscow and the world is clear: Our support for Ukraine is strong and unwavering."
During the summit, the heads of state and government of the Ukraine alliance are expected to announce new military aid of 40 billion Euros over a year in perspective up to Thursday, as well as new bilateral security guarantees for Kiev. However, there will be no membership invitation for Ukraine.
