- Upbeat evaluation of outdoor music events in the urban park
In the core of Hamburg's Stadtpark, musical acts such as Alice Cooper, Toto, Diana Krall, Clueso, Helge Schneider, and Pur have been rocking the outdoor stage for the past four months. The finale was marked by the sellout concerts of hip-hop group Deine Freunde, which drew an impressive crowd. With 44 events completed, the season has officially concluded, and Hamburg's Karsten Jahnke Concert Agency has reported over 160,000 visitors since mid-May.
Preparations for Stadtpark Open Air's 50th anniversary are in full swing
"Each year, it's a thrill to orchestrate the Stadtpark Open Air season and witness fantastic performances in this extraordinary setting. The sense of unity between seasoned attendees and newcomers, spanning generations, is truly remarkable," shared Managing Director Ben Mitha.
The incredible team is now working diligently to make the 50th anniversary season, titled "50 Years of Stadtpark Open Air," an unforgettable experience in the coming year. Many acts have already been confirmed, including Lotto King Karl on May 17 and jazz vocalist Gregory Porter on July 10. Tickets for these events are now available.
A distinctive, charming open-air stage
Stadtpark Open Air is renowned as one of the most attractive and verdant open-air venues. The audience stands amid a lush, sloping amphitheater, surrounded by towering four-meter beech hedges, which creates an intimate atmosphere. This feeling intensifies when artists who usually perform in arenas take the Stadtpark Open Air stage.
"During the preparations for Stadtpark Open Air's 50th anniversary, Managing Director Ben Mitha is excited to see a diverse range of acts, appealing to 'Other' generations, ensuring that the anniversary season is inclusive and memorable."
"In the upcoming 50th anniversary season of Stadtpark Open Air, the 'Other' music enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of performers, such as Lotto King Karl and Gregory Porter, offering something for everyone to enjoy."
