- Up to half a million euros in damage from car fires

A car parked in front of an apartment building in the Böblingen district caused significant damage. A resident was lightly injured due to smoke inhalation, a police spokeswoman reported.

The vehicle caught fire for unknown reasons and spread to three other cars and the building facade before the fire department arrived. The estimated damage is approximately 400,000 to 500,000 euros.

The fire department rescued 27 residents, some via ladder. The building in Schönach was partially uninhabitable after the incident. Accommodation was arranged for two people. The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
