Weather forecast - Up to 34 degrees in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland

In Rheinland-Pfalz and in Saarland, the coming days will be hot and sultry. The German Weather Service (DWD) expects peak temperatures between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, and 28 and 33 degrees on Wednesday. Temperatures will climb up to 30 degrees as early as Monday.

According to DWD, it will remain sunny and dry until the middle of the week. In the course of Wednesday, it is expected to become increasingly cloudy, with thunderstorms and strong showers occurring in the afternoon. Hail and heavy rain are also possible. Furthermore, showers and thunderstorms are predicted for the night leading to Thursday.

The DWD issues a weather forecast for Saarbrücken in Saarland, predicting temperatures reaching 30 degrees on Monday. Residents in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, can also expect similar heat, with the DWD forecasting peak temperatures around 30 to 34 degrees on Tuesday. Despite the high temperatures, a change in weather is expected towards the end of the week in Rhineland-Palatinate, with thunderstorms and strong showers forecasted by the DWD.
