Tariffs - Unternehmer BW: Indefinite GDL strike irresponsible
Following a vote in favor of indefinite strikes by the train drivers' union, the Baden-Württemberg employers' association has called on the GDL to return to the negotiating table quickly. An indefinite and extensive strike would not only put a great strain on rail travelers, said Oliver Barta, Managing Director of Unternehmer BW, on Tuesday. "It would also be irresponsible due to the expected economic damage in the current extremely difficult economic situation in our country."
In the wage dispute with Deutsche Bahn, union members voted in favor of indefinite strikes in a ballot, as announced by the GDL in Frankfurt am Main on Tuesday. 97 percent of the voting members voted in favor.
