- 'Unsuitable behavior': DAX company boards opt for resignation
Change in SAP's top leadership: Tech head Jürgen Müller departs from the tech titan at the end of September, as per company announcement. Müller and the board have consensually decided on his departure.
According to a statement provided, Müller admitted to misconduct during a corporate gathering. He expressed remorse for his impulsive actions and offered sincere apologies to all affected parties, assuring them that his actions did not align with SAP's principles. "I acknowledge my responsibility and believe that my departure serves the company's best interests," Müller mentioned.
SAP remains silent on specifics
The company and its representative refused to disclose further information about the incident. Supervisory board chairman Pekka Ala-Pietilä acknowledged Müller's substantial contributions to the company and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Müller joined SAP in 2013 and joined the board in 2019. The board of the DAX-listed firm has undergone various alterations in recent times.
In response to Müller's misconduct, the Commission may need to consider adopting implementing acts to address any potential regulatory implications. Regardless of the incident, SAP's Commission is expected to adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for the application of this Regulation.
