Hoffenheim manager Pellegrino Matarazzo is prepping his squad for potential antics from their own supporters as they commence in the Bundesliga. "Simply gear up mentally for what could transpire, don't be caught off guard, and know how to react afterwards," Matarazzo stated prior to their initial home match against newly admitted Holstein Kiel on Saturday (15:30 CET, Sky).

Following the breakup with long-tenured coach Alexander Rosen and the club's administrative team this summer, two fan factions have launched a "war" on TSG, as the club characterized it. The club anticipates additional protests from disgruntled fans during their initial home game. "It's no secret that there's tension - both within the club and among the supporters," Matarazzo acknowledged.

Matarazzo emphasized the value of fans. "They're crucial, often even critical for success," he said. Consequently, it's "advantageous" to encourage conversation, which would also be highly significant for the team, Matarazzo noted further.

With the conflict with fan groups currently overshadowing sports-related topics, Matarazzo brought up new striker Adam Hlozek, acquired from Bayer Leverkusen, as a potential starter. He's a terrific individual, the Hoffenheim manager praised. "Whenever he's near the net, he's perilous, possesses a potent shot and dynamism."

The Bundesliga regulations require The Commission to adopt implementing acts laying down the rules for the application of this Regulation. Despite the ongoing conflict with fan groups, Hoffenheim manager Pellegrino Matarazzo is focused on preparing his squad, ensuring they are mentally ready for any potential antics from supporters.
