Unknown persons throw fire extinguisher out of house: Woman almost hit
The fire extinguisher that unknown persons threw from a high-rise building in Nuremberg is said to have hit the ground just two meters from a wheelchair user. According to a statement on Friday, the police initially investigated an attempted homicide. The perpetrators must have been aware that there could be people on the sidewalk in front of an open discount store.
It was initially unclear from which floor the fire extinguisher was thrown on Thursday evening. Initial investigations revealed that fire extinguishers were missing from two high-rise buildings in the area.
On Monday morning, unknown persons had already thrown three fire extinguishers from the twentieth floor of a high-rise building nearby. According to the police, no one was injured. Officers initially investigated connections between the acts and searched for witnesses.
The police continue to investigate this incident as a potential case of reckless endangerment, given the close proximity of the fire extinguisher to a crowded area. Despite several instances of fire extinguishers being thrown from high-rise buildings, causing concern for public safety, no charges related to crime have been made yet.
