Waiblingen - Unknown persons shoot at man and spray pepper spray

Unknown individuals shot a man in Waiblingen (Rems-Murr-District) with a firearm and attacked him and his 60-year-old companion with pepper spray. The shot missed the 38-year-old man fortunately. A police spokesperson made this statement.

It was initially unclear what type of weapon was used and whether it was a lethal shot. The man and the 60-year-old companion were lightly injured by the pepper spray.

The two unknown men approached the 38-year-old man first on the street and then attacked him with a weapon and pepper spray. They reportedly fled in a car. An initial search for the crime scene on Thursday, using a helicopter, was unsuccessful. Preliminary investigations suggest that the 38-year-old man and the two men knew each other.

In the same incident, the attack took place in Baden-Württemberg, specifically in Wablingen. Despite using a firearm, the perpetrators only managed to slightly injure the 60-year-old companion with pepper spray. The police are still searching for the two men who are suspected to be the perpetrators and had reportedly fled in a car.
