- Unknown man steals two-meter-long cow from a wooden stove

A roughly two-meter-long wooden cow has disappeared without a trace in Kißlegg (Ravensburg district). Unknown perpetrators presumably transported the black-brown animal figure away using a vehicle sometime last week, as the police reported. The reason behind taking the cow remains unclear to the authorities. The 1.40-meter-tall figure had been standing in front of a vending machine and bore the inscription of a local dairy.

Incidents of this kind, where promotional figures are stolen from in front of stores, do occur occasionally, according to a police spokesperson. He mentions the example of a large wooden pretzel from a bakery that went missing a few months ago.

The Commission's implementing acts might provide guidelines on how to handle instances of promotional figure theft, considering their increasing frequency. This Regulation could potentially include provisions for the protection and recovery of such items.
