The situation is stable for now, but we can't predict what other issues might arise, stated Eitzenberger. Specialists will be needed, like those skilled in handling oil leaks from heating systems.

However, emergency services are approaching their limits. "We have an extensive network of relief, covering all of Bavaria with its 7,500 fire departments and over 300,000 volunteer firefighters. We'll likely see this more this week than over the weekend," Eitzenberger explained.
