Bundesliga - Union continue to train without Becker: Bonucci also missing
1. FC Union Berlin are still without attacker Sheraldo Becker. The injured 28-year-old did not take part in team training on Tuesday and remained in the dressing room. Becker has missed the Köpenickers' last two games, but could rejoin the team this week.
Defender Leonardo Bonucci was also not on the pitch on Tuesday. The return of defender Danilho Doekhi, who will have to sit out for a while, is not expected until January. It was the first public training session under new coach Nenad Bjelica. Around 50 Union fans were in attendance.
The Bundesliga match between the bottom club in the table and FC Bayern at the weekend had been called off due to the onset of winter in the Bavarian capital. The Berliners, who have not won a game since August, want to make the most of the first uninterrupted week of training under Bjelica. Next Saturday, Union will host Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei (3.30pm/Sky).
