Union Berlin's horror series to end against Frankfurt

After eleven defeats in a row, 1. FC Union Berlin urgently needs a sense of achievement. The team from Köpenick will host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (3.30 pm/Sky) at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei in the tenth matchday of the Bundesliga. President Dirk Zingler backed coach Urs Fischer in no uncertain terms ahead of the game. Not out of gratitude for past successes, "but because we are convinced that he is an outstanding coach who can solve this difficult task," wrote Zingler in the stadium booklet.

Berlin, who have slipped close to the relegation places in the league, will be without suspended midfield organizer Rani Khedira. Hesse are coming to Berlin in good form. They have picked up seven points from their last three league games.

Despite their current struggles in the Bundesliga, 1. FC Union Berlin aims to turn their fortunes around against Eintracht Frankfurt, known for their recent form in the league. The Soccer match between the two teams is scheduled on Saturday at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
