Football match - Union Berlin Player Fights Dismissal with Legal Measures
Michael Parensen, the previous Technical Director of Union Berlin, is taking legal action against the club at the Berlin Labor Court regarding his termination. According to a statement on Monday, the trial for the lawsuit will take place on Tuesday (12:15 pm). Union Berlin decided to end Parensen's employment on March 30, 2024.
Parensen initially connected with the club after concluding his playing career in 2020 and dealt with different units. Later, he backed professional soccer manager Oliver Ruhnert. Upon completing his management training at the DFB, he earned the role of Technical Director for the men's professional team during the summer of 2022. Frequently, Parensen was suggested as a prospective replacement for Ruhnert. Nevertheless, Horst Heldt will assume this position starting July.
