Union Berlin is combative ahead of Naples game
1. FC Union Berlin wants to put a stop to its run of bankruptcies at Italian soccer champions SSC Napoli of all places. The Bundesliga club from Köpenick has recently suffered twelve defeats in a row and would no longer have a chance of reaching the knockout round of the Champions League if they suffered another one this Wednesday (18:45/DAZN) at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
"The situation, sorry, is really shitty at the moment," said coach Urs Fischer. But they would try everything to take points from Naples. "We're here with Union Berlin to win the game and try to stop the negative trend," emphasized Union's Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci.
