- Unintentional Vehicle Infernos in Neukölln Car Park, Strongly Suggesting Arson Incident
After a blaze in the Neukölln Arcades' parking garage in Berlin, authorities are considering the chance of intentional arson. According to the police's Tuesday declaration, the fire started on Monday night, causing harm to a dozen vehicles. A motorist alerted the authorities about the blaze.
Firefighters managed to put out the flames using around 90 individuals, working past midnight. Once the flames were subdued, a fire investigation team started probing the suspicion of intentional arson. The fire spread from one car to others, leaving no casualties reported.
As part of the firefighting operations, the Flughafenstraße was closed between Hermannstraße and Karl-Marx-Straße until roughly 9:40 PM.
The investigators are examining the parking lot where the blaze originated, as they suspect intentional arson. Subsequently, the parking lot will need extensive repairs due to the damage caused by the fire.
