A person met their demise in a tragic road incident in Bedburg, situated to the west of Cologne. According to statements from the local authorities and prosecutor's office, the unfortunate individual was a passenger on a motorbike on a Friday evening. Onlookers reported risky driving behavior from the 54-year-old driver. Unforeseen circumstances led to a collision with the car of a 39-year-old female driver.
As per the authorities, the passenger's injuries were so grave that they perished right at the site of the accident. The motorbike rider endured serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. A blood test was carried out on him, under suspicion of intoxication due to either alcohol or narcotics. Beforehand, the "Cologne City-Announcer" had reported on the incident.
The accident occurrence took place near Cologne, affecting the city's local news coverage. Despite medical interventions, the passenger, sadly, did not survive the journey to a hospital in Cologne.
