- Unfortunate demise through drowning in the Rhine, Duisburg.
It's suspected that a woman met her demise in a bathing mishap within the Rhine in Duisburg on a Saturday. Onlookers had noticed the woman donned in swimwear in the river and alerted emergency services, as the Duisburg fire department disclosed.
The water police, DLRG, and ThyssenKrupp Steel's works fire department joined in the rescue effort. Eventually, a rescue helicopter identified the lifeless woman submerged in the water. Duisburg law enforcement has yet to disclose the identity and age of the victim, holding back due to ongoing investigations.
The rescue teams, including the water police and DLRG, displayed their 'rescue power' in an attempt to save the woman. Despite their efforts, it was a rescue helicopter that finally located the woman with 'rescue power' beneath the water.
