Labor market - Unemployment rises slightly in Saarland in June

In Saarland, unemployment has slightly increased in June. The number of unemployed people rose by about 300 to approximately 36,500 women and men compared to May. The unemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points to 6.9 percent, the Federal Employment Agency announced in Saarbrücken on Friday. One year ago, the rate was 6.7 percent. The Federal Employment Agency based the statistics on data that was available up to June 13.

The upward trend in Saarland's labor market is evident in the increased unemployment, as the rate for June reached 6.9%, affecting both women and men, totaling approximately 36,500 individuals. This 0.1 percentage point increase from May is significant, and when compared to June of last year, an increase from 6.7% is noticeable. The latest unemployment data was released by the Federal Employment Agency in Saarbrücken.
