- Unemployment in Bremen slightly increased
The number of unemployed people in the state of Bremen increased by 1,302 to 42,011 in July compared to June. The unemployment rate rose by 0.4 percentage points to 11.3 percent, the Federal Employment Agency reported. The agency attributed this to the seasonal increase in July, when young people temporarily register as unemployed after completing their training. Compared to the same period last year, the number of unemployed people increased by 2,280, and the rate was then 10.8 percent.
The upward trend in unemployment persists, as the total number of unemployed individuals in Bremen reached 42,011 in July. This high unemployment rate poses challenges for the local economy and employment services.
