Labor market - Unemployment in Bremen falls slightly in December

Unemployment in Bremen fell slightly at the end of the year - contrary to the usual trend. A total of 39,089 people were registered as unemployed in the smallest federal state in December, 91 fewer than in the previous month, as announced by the Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency on Wednesday. The rate fell by 0.1 points to 10.6 percent. Compared to the same month last year, however, the number of unemployed rose by 2446. A year ago, the rate in the two-city state was still at 10.0 percent.
