Unemployment figures expected for November in Hesse
Following the lack of an autumn upturn, the employment agency will report this Thursday (10.00 a.m.) on further developments on the Hessian labor market in November. In the previous month, the unemployment rate stagnated at 5.3 percent. As of October, 183,547 people were registered as unemployed in Hesse. At the same time, Director Frank Martin pointed to the rising number of jobs subject to social insurance contributions, which he said demonstrated the solid basic condition of the Hessian labor market.
The stagnation in unemployment rates in October led to concerns about the near-term outlook of the Hessian labor market within the broader labor market. Despite the high number of registered unemployed individuals, the increasing number of jobs subject to social insurance contributions suggests a positive trend for the labor market.
